Several limited editions of J’adore, the iconic perfume of the House of Dior, have been released since it was initially launched in 1999, including versions in Baccarat crystal.

Some of these re-releases involved collaborations with contemporary artists, such as Jean-Michel Othoniel. Since the 1990s Jean-Michel Othoniel has focused his artistic practice on blown glass, and the repetition of bricks or brightly coloured beads. Jean-Michel Othoniel’s sculptures range from small-scale to monumental.
In 2012, the House of Dior asked Jean-Michel Othoniel to create a limited edition of the J’adore bottle, which he had made in Murano glass.
